Here are some of my favorite photos from this years Miramar Air Show. I lucked out and had great weather and nice fluffy clouds... Perfect air show working conditions! Enjoy. :)
Here's a collection of my favorites from Estoril. This and Jerez are so far my favorite GPs to go to. I still have a lot more to see to add to the comparison, but I loved Portugal. Beautiful beaches, plenty of nice food and wine, and the people were awesome. So what more could you ask for really...
Oh yes, racing... which when you add a cool track to shoot, it makes the weekend pretty much perfect, if you're a photographer. The tensions that are building between the competitors is making for some great soap opera drama, which again is great if you're a photographer. After Le Mans, it's definitely a continuing trend and it's making for some great entertainment and lively debates in the GP community. It's great to have racing that doesn't feel like everyone involved is just punching their time card each weekend. Makes me look forward to each weekend to see who comes out on top on the track, not only as someone whose work involves capturing it but as enthusiast as well.
Sometimes it's nice to take photos for fun. And when I say fun, I mean not work. Don't get me wrong, I love my profession, but it still amounts to work (i.e. lugging large amounts of camera gear followed by hours at the computer sorting, keywording, and editing.) Believe it or not, the daily photographer grind can threaten to suck the creativity out of you after awhile.
Which is why, every now and then i like to take the camera out for giggles and shoot some photos for me. I shot these with my shiny new wide angle lens a few weeks back at the Balboa Peninsula. I used to come down here a lot when I was a kid and I must say taking pictures at the beach never gets old for me.
Hope you enjoy them.
Sure it's a nice view, but look at the working conditions.
Is it just me or should there be some sort of Instructional Darwinism?
My idea of traffic...
Step up!
Loved this arcade as a kid. Hold on... shouldn't be past tense, still do!
Gotta love sunshine and palm trees. Even the last bits of it.
Growing up I was Dodgers fan. Then they traded Mike Piazza and I was so mad that I hated the Dodgers and pretty much haven't liked baseball since. I found better replacements like football, hockey and motorcycle racing.
Although despite the bad Dodger blood, it was really cool to come back to the stadium which brought back good memories like Kirk Gibson's home run and my first baseball game that my dad took me to. Even better, the return visit was for a motorbike race and a really awesome one at that... Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.
The third and final slideshow to cap off 2010. Hope you all have enjoyed them. Looking forward to starting another year of shooting motorbikes tomorrow at Anaheim I. Braaap! :)
During my Holiday break I had compiled some of my favorite photos of 2 wheel racing from 2010. It was great to look back through the year, which for me was a great despite the roller coaster ride. There were lots of great events attended and some great moments in racing to capture. Here's part one of my favorite photos from last year.
Hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
